Conesus: Kevin D. Coughlin, 53 years, of Elm Street Conesus died suddenly Saturday,
November 15, 2008, at Noyes Hospital in Dansville, NY after being stricken at
his home. He was predeceased by his parents Harlie and Mary Coughlin.
Kevin is survived by his son Rory Coughlin of Conesus and Rory's Mother, Patti
Woodruff, and his girlfriend, Liz Doyle. His brothers, Tim (Pat) Coughlin of
Burlington, Vermont, Chris (Paula) Coughlin of Lima, Brian (Linda LoCastro) of
Rochester. His sister, Moira (Greg Gales) of Conesus. His aunt, Ellen LaVigne
of Hemlock, His uncle and aunt, Joseph and Catherine LaVigne of Spencerport.

A. "Liz" Struble 73 years of Conesus-Springwater Rd, Conesus,
died Wednesday, November 5, 2008 at Hornell Gardens where she had
resided since July. She was born in Sparta, NY on August 1, 1935
the daughter of Harland and Helen Holbrook Presler.
She was predeceased by her brother Harold Presler. Liz is
survived by her husband of 54 years, Ray E. Struble; her children
Donald (Jeanne) Struble of Conesus and Sharon (Jim) Lucey of Hemlock; 4

M. Farrell "Myrt" died November 4, 2008 at Kirkhaven Nursing Home at
age 88 years.She was born October 31, 1920 in Avon New York the daughter
of Rex and Maryetta Litte Moulton.
She was predeceased by her husband Thomas R. Farrell. Myrt is survived by her
children; Thomas "Bucky" Farrell of Avon and Mary Brownell of
Corpus Christi, Texas. Her grandchildren; Tammy Titus of

3, 2008 at age 92 at the Conesus Lake Nursing Home. Born June 25, 1916 in Buffalo, NY "a female bull."
Predeceased by her husband of 54 years, Leslie "Slate" Cole;
parents Edwin and Edna Bull; sister Virginia Borden and grandson
John Stocking.
Survived by her children; Beverly (Thor) Luther of Conesus, Margaret Stocking of Sun City Arizona, Leslie L. Cole
Jr. of Livonia. Daughter-in-law Elma "Ron" Reed. Four grandsons; David
(Lisa) and Michael (Kathleen) Luther, Matthew (Jen) Cole and Jason
(Keri) Cole. Also survived by five great grandchildren including
"a new baby girl" the first girl in our family in 64 years! Also
many nieces and nephews.
Mother was a proud lifelong Republican - A member of Town of Avon,
County, and State Republican Committees. She proudly represented
District 5 in Avon for approximately 50 years! Also she was
active in the Avon PTA in the 1950's and 1960's holding offices at the
local and state level. A member for 60 plus years of the Central
Presbyterian Church in Avon where she held many positions over the
years. Her favorite being the "childrens room" where she helped
children Christmas shop for their parents and family. Then there
was the "Rebecca Lodge # 492" where she was a proud member for over 50
years and was Nobel Grand several times. There was also the Local
and County Home Bureau where she held numerous positions and filled our
home with all sorts of crafts from silver trays to sewing screens!
Golly, she was busy! She took such pride in all her various
interests....each one was her favorite. Mom will be missed.
The family is very grateful for the wonderful and compassionate care
given to Gerry by the entire staff at the Conesus Lake Nursing Home.

formerly of Livonia died Saturday, November 1, 2008 at Highland Hospital in Rochester. She
was born in Perry, NY the daughter of Edward and Mabel McGill Gavin. Jo was
predeceased by her husband John, on January 15, 1981. She was a graduate of
Warsaw High School and received her BS in Nursing Education from the
University of Rochester. Prior to retirement, she was employed at Rochester
Psychiatric Center, and the Monroe Community College where she retired from in
June 1981. She was a member of the RPC Retirement Group, MCC Foundation, and
the MCC Retirement Group. She was also recognized as a Professor Emeritus at
Monroe Community College.
Jo is survived by her nieces Vicki Smith, Toni Thomas, and Sandy Johnston.

longtime member of the Naples Central School Board where she served as
President for 7 years. Also, she served on the Regional BOCES
Board for
20 years. She was a self employed Real Estate Broker who also
served on the South Bristol Town Board. Nadina was a member of the
Naples Rotary Club
where she served as President for a term.
She is survived by her children, Scott (P.J.) Stevens III, of Idaho, George
(Cindy) Stevens of Arizona, David (Jeannie) Stevens of Virginia and Brenda

Canandaigua: Joyce N. Manzer age 75 years, of Canandaigua, NY formerly of Phoenix and Liverpool,
NY died Wednesday, October 29, 2008 at the MM Ewing Continuing Care Center in
Canandaigua. She was born in Windsor, NY, December 11, 1932 the daughter of
Eddie L. and Esther R. DeVaul Ottman. Prior to retirement, she was employed as
the office manager at the Robert Bonney Agency in Baldwinsville, NY.
Joyce's great loves were her family and friends. She was always there for those
she loved, and she always took care of them. Other things that brought joy into
her life were her collections of designer teddy bears and antique and
reproduction dolls, traveling and sightseeing, and country and western music.
She enjoyed doting on her grandchildren and her great grandchildren, who
equally adored her.
After her retirement, Joyce spent time each week volunteering at the Syracuse
Nursing Home and really loved spending time with her special friends there.
When the time came that she needed care herself, she lived for a time at
Horizons Assisted Living Facility in Canandaigua and at the MM Ewing Continuing
Care Center, where she earned the nickname "Sparky".
Joyce was a special light in the lives of many. She will be greatly missed and
carried in our hearts forever.
She is survived by her children, John Grant and Jean Grant both of Florida.
Step-children, Alan (Janice) Manzer of Phoenix, NY, Roseanne (Ray) Breidigan of
Muir,PA, Barbara Coomber of New Smyrna Beach, Florida and Nancy (Jim) Manzer

Edna Hoffman Kramer. A Navy Veteran of World War II, he was a member of the Avon
VFW Post 5292 and the American Legion. An avid coin collector, he was a member
of the neumsmatic society. He also was very involved with baseball card
trading. He was a retiree of Lucidol in Piffard, NY.
Barney was predeceased by his wife, Alice and their son Eugene Kramer. He is

where she had been a patient for a short period of time.. She was born in
Scottsville, NY, December 5, 1928 the daughter of Claude E. and Muriel May
Snover. Throughout her career, she worked a variety of jobs including being a
sales representative at the former Margaret C. Mack Real Estate Agency in Dansville.
She was a member of the Audobon Society, the Nature Conservancy and the ASPCA.
She was a very loyal and faithful fan of the Buffalo Bills, attending a game as
recently as September to root her favorite team on to victory.

Robert Sanderson Bulmer of East Lake Road in Livonia died
Thursday October 16, 2008 at age 80 years. He is survived by his
loving wife of 57 years, Charlotte. His son Richard (Lynn) Bulmer

Robert was born in Conesus, NY on March 8, 1928 the son of Oliver

School for Boys in Rush, NY. Robert served his country in the
United States Coast Guard from 1945-1946.

Springwater: William D. Dow, 62 years, of 6987 Canadice Lake Road in
Springwater, died Tuesday, October 14, 2008 at the home of his daughter,
Jennifer. He was born in Saranac Lake, NY February 3, 1946, the son of
Floyd and Anna Gill Dow. Bill was a Viet Nam Army Veteran serving from 1966
through 1968. Prior to reitrement, he was employed as an instrument
control foreman at Rochester Gas and Electric.
Bill was predeceased by his wife Barbara on February 26, 2004 and his brothers
Denton Dow and Vernon Dow.
He is survived by his children, Jennifer Dow of Rochester, Amy Dow of Florida,

early Saturday morning October 11, 2008 at the Livingston County Center for
Nursing and Rehabilitaion in Mt. Morris. She was born in Bushnells Basin, NY
January 24, 1925 the daughter of Fred and Dora Stewart Bayne. She was
predeceased by her brother Fred Bayne, her grandson, Kevin J. Shinebarger and
former husband Robert Shinebarger, with whom she remained close until his passing
in 2003.
She is survived by her son, Steven (Shirley) Shinebarger of Conesus Lake and
Naples, FL. her daughter and very best friend, Darla (Scott) Standish of
Geneseo. Grandchildren, Samantha (Shane) Rivera, Adam (Betsy) Standish, Dr.
Steven Shinebarger, Brian Shinebarger and "the light of her life",

O'Hanlon 92 years of Cole Road Honeoye (Hemlock) died suddenly
September 27, 2008 at the Avon Nursing Home, where he has
resided since September 10., 2008. He was predeceased in
2002 by his wife Edna M. O' Hanlon. Prior to his retirement
he was employed at the former Stromberg-Carlson Corporation
in Rochester. He was a member of the Honeoye Senior Citizens
and was a longtime active member with his late wife at St.
Mary's Church in Honeoye.

Robertina C. Wahl, 91 years, of Stewart Place, Canandaigua,
NY, formerly of Rochester, NY died Friday, September 26,
2008 at her home. She was born August 5, 1917, the daughter
of Robert M. and Lizzie C. Sanborn Wason, in Southbridge,
Mass. She was very active in the communities in which she
resided, volunteering and participating in many causes including
the Seven Lakes Girl Scout Council and the Genesee Valley
Girl Scout Council. A gifted musician, she was the organist
at many different Churches throughout her life. She was
a member of the Reed Corners Federated Church and prior
to her retirement was employed as a bookkeeper in the area
including such places as the Country Club of Rochester and
the Monroe Golf Club. She also enjoyed traveling when time
permitted. She was predeceased by her husband, Fred G. Wahl
and her brother, Buron D. Wason.
Mrs. Wahl is
survived by her children, Robert (Inkeri) Wahl of Stafford,NY
and Palm Springs, Florida, Nancy (Gerald) Langer of Sioux
City, South Dakota, Betsi (Edward Lewis) Wahl of Canandaigua
and Timothy (Linda) Wahl of Penn Yan. Her Grandchildren,
Regina (Robert) Mullen,Heidamarie (John) Tierney, Heather
(James) Dennis, Kim (Michael Phenis) Langer, Lisa (Dennis)
Jerome, Gerald (Jo) Langer, Jeffrey (Jenifer) Langer, Kristine

Jean A. Eckenrode, 66 years, of Eagles Nest Road,
Delevan, formerly of Palmyra, died Wedensday, September
17, 2008 at Wyoming County Community Hospital in Warsaw,
where she was admitted last Friday.She was born September
2, 1942, the daughter of Robert and Katheryn Willison Konz
in Rochester, NY. She received her Bachelors Degree from
SUNY at Geneseo and then went on to receive her Masters
Degree in Special Education from Nazareth College in Rochester.
She spent her professional career at Pal-Mac Central
School where she was employed for 22 years. Jean was a member
of the NY State Retired Teachers Association, the Church
of Latter Day Saints, and she also volunteered at the Delevan-Yorkshire
Library.
She is survived by her husband, Ronald L. Eckenrode; her
children, Robert (Lynda) Ingold of Walworth, Virginia (Lee)
Riggall of Walworth, Constance (Bert) Ferris of Elbridge,
NY, Stephanie (David) Burke of Bergen, NY and Diana (Matthew)
Carvana of Amherst, NY. 14 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren.

L. "Cliff" Cisco, 73 years of East Lake Road, Conesus died
Friday, September 5, 2008 at Strong Memorial Hospital where
he had been a patient for the past 8 weeks. He was born in
Canandaigua, NY, March 31, 1935 the son of Clifford B. and
Elma Young Cisco. Cliff and the former Mary Lee MacArthur
were married on September 13, 1952. Prior to his retirement,
Cliff was employed by Monroe Tree Surgeons in Rochester. He
was predeceased by his son, Tim on May 19, 2006.
He is survived by his of wife of 55 years, Mary Lee; his children,

of Victor and Mae VanBuren Burdorf. She was a member of
the Hemlock Methodist Church. Marian was predeceased by
her husband Lynn in 1992.

Leon M. Randolph, 85 years, of Cole Road, Conesus,
NY died at his home Wednesday August 27, 2008. He was
born in Bradford, PA. October 22, 1922 the son of
Archie Jasper Randolph and Rose Sherwood. Leon married his
late wife Sara Williams on September 5, 1947. Mr. Randolph
served his country during World War 2 in the US Navy
which awarded him several medals. Prior to retirement, Leon
was employed by Clover Gravel Corp. as a heavy equipment
operator. He was a member of the International Union of
Operating Engineers, Local 832. He also was a longtime member
of the Masonic Lodge.
Leon joined his wife of 61 years, Sara, when he passed on
Wednesday. He is survived by his daughters, Sandra
Gensamer of Sacramento, CA., Bonnie Goranson, Joyce (Russ)
Webster and Lisa Abbott all of Conesus. 8 grandchildren,
Paula, Laura, Debby, Cindy, Tracy, Kerri, Josh and Sara.
13 great-grandchildren. His Sister,Elva Gross of Cuba. several
nieces and nephews. He also was predeceased by his sons-in-law,

John Edson "Ed" VanDerMeid, 90 years, of 10 East Ave. Livonia
died Saturday August 23, 2008 at Noyes Memorial Hospital
in Dansville. Ed was born in Livonia, March 24, 1918 the
son of Clarence and Florence Clapp VanDerMeid. He was a
life long farmer, working with is his father and brother
on the family farms in Avon and South Lima. Prior
to fully retiring, he was employed by James Corcoran at
Avon Farm Equipment. Ed served his country proudly
in the US Navy during World War 2. He was a member
of the Livonia Masonic Lodge, the Livonia Area Preservation
and Historical Society, the Livonia United Methodist
Church, and a former member of Livingston Country Club
in Geneseo. He also served on the Board of Trustees
at Union Cemetery in Livonia for many years.
He
was predeceased by the love of his life, his wife Elizabeth
C. "Betty" VanDerMeid on October 30, 2003. Ed is survived
by his sons and daughters-in-law John E. "Cork" and
Bonny VanDerMeid of Livonia; Ronald and Rosemary VanDerMeid
of Livonia. His grandchildren, Scott, Matthew, Adam,
Steven, and Kevin VanDerMeid. Brother and Sister-in-law,
William and Shirley VanDerMeid of Livonia. Also his
